The Marquette Police Department says the black lab that was in the stolen pickup truck has been located. The eight-year-old dog was found Monday morning near the Beaver Grove restaurant in Chocolay Township. The pickup has not yet been recovered.

MARQUETTE, MI– Marquette Police are searching for a stolen vehicle and dog that was inside.

Officers say a gray, 2005 Dodge pickup was taken while parked outside the Wooden Nickel bar Sunday night between 10 p.m. and 2:15 a.m. The owner’s two dogs—a Chow and an eight-year-old black lab with a reflective collar—were inside the truck at the time. The Chow was later found running loose near the intersection of Presque Isle and Fair Avenue. The lab has not yet been found.

Officers say the Michigan registration for the truck is WDNCKL.

Anyone with information regarding the vehicle or the dog is asked to call City Police at 228-0400.
