The Car Jack is One of Three Types:
1. A scissor style. The body is made of strips of metal riveted in x-patterns, which raise a plate as a screw is turned one way, or lower it when turned the other. This jack is placed under the car.
2. A Hydraulic style. A barrel, filled with oil, forces a shaft up as a handle is either twisted or pumped. A faucet-like control allows the oil pressure to build up, lifting the vehicle, or bleed off, allowing the vehicle to lower. This jack is placed under the car.
